For their first recital of the spring semester, SSU's singers will offer a Variety Show . Each singer has chosen a song that fits them to a T, and will offer a few words of context, perhaps an additional prop, staging, or other enhancement that shows the audience their individuality and creativity as an artist. This great variety of talent and skill makes the SSU Voice Program a diverse and vibrant community of top-notch performers.

Opera Scenes: Project Pauline—Cendrillon and the Magical Life of Pauline Viardot
This semester, the SSU Opera Scenes class will be celebrating the life and work of Pauline Viardot on the 200th anniversary of her birthday. Viardot was one of the most important singers and composers of her era, and had a monumental effect on the musical life and development of Europe in the latter half of the 19th century.
