Festivals and Community Outreach

The Department of Music at the Green Music Center offers two concert venues, the Schroeder and Weill Halls. Thousands of musicians of all ages experience our festival and outreach programs. Here is a list of events for SSU calendar year 2019-2020. Please join us.

A versatile lyric soprano praised for her clarity and warmth of tone, Christa Durand has performed in hundreds of concerts and shows in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. A native of Santa Rosa, Ms. Durand is recognized as a gifted performer who is equally comfortable in a classical recital hall as she is in an intimate cabaret venue. Sonoma State University proudly hosts the Sonoma County Middle and High School Honor Band festival on Friday and Saturday, January 25-26, at the Green Music Center.

Rehearsals are open to the public. Daily parking charge $5 in effect.

The Sonoma County Honor Band Concert takes place on Saturday, January 26, at 7:30 pm in Weill Hall. Tickets are $8 and free to SSU students.

Seawolf Day Sampler Concert

Admitted students and their families are invited to learn about the music department at this annual Music Department Sampler Concert, a one-hour show of solo, jazz, and chamber ensemble pieces performed by current students.

Schroeder Hall at Sonoma State's Green Music Center is about a ten minute walk from the campus center or a quick drive to the north campus entrance. Parking is available in Lots L, M, N and O. Map For information call 707-664-2324.
