Two Sonoma State University wind players have taken top prizes in the first annual SSU Concerto Competition, according to Director of Orchestral Activities Alexander Kahn. They are: Zachary Hall, trumpet (Arutiunian, Trumpet Concerto) and Megan Rice, saxophone (Glazunov, Saxophone Concerto).

Acclaimed lyric soprano Rhoslyn Jones will sing Samuel Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with the Sonoma State University Symphony Orchestra on May 1 at 7:30 pm in Weill Hall.
