Different Voices

CONCERT PROGRAM LINK

The SSU Concert Band will team up with the Montgomery High School Wind Orchestra to present Different Voices, a concert program of music by diverse composers.

The first half will feature the MHS Wind Orchestra performing the Chaconne from Gustav Holst’s First Suite in E-Flat, Eric Whitacre’s beautiful ballad, The Seal Lullaby, and Henry Fillmore’s rousing march His Honor.

The second half features the SSU Concert Band performing Carol Brittin Chambers’ spirited Fanfare Esprit, Rossano Galante’s antem for the 2019 Gay Games entitled Rise, a beautiful setting by Kathryn Salfelder entitled Reminiscence, an interesting suite by Rick Kirby called Different Voices (conducted by Dr. Kim Mieder), Frank Ticheli’s Ghost Tale, and Michael Markowski’s Shine.
