Band Season

Welcome to the University Bands Spring 2020 concert season. We have two performing ensembles: Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Concert Band. conducted by Dr. Andy Collinsworth conducts both as well as Noma Winds which involves our credential students and high school students from across the county directed by Dr. Kim Mieder.

The season includes full-length concerts and three free mini-performances as part of the annual Wind Band and Orchestra Festival on March 11-13.

Sonoma State University proudly hosts the Sonoma County Middle and High School Honor Band Festival on Friday and Saturday, January 24-25, at the Green Music Center's Weill Hall. Rehearsals are open to the public. Daily parking charges $5 in effect. The Sonoma County Honor Band Concert takes place on Saturday, January 25, at 7:30 pm in Weill Hall. Sonoma Wind Ensemble

The Sonoma Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Andy Collinsworth, will present three performances this week on Wednesday March 11 and Thursday March 12 at 12:30 pm in Weill Hall.

These afternoon performances had been scheduled as part of the Music Department’s annual Sonoma Invitational Wind Band and Orchestra Festival. We invite you to join us for an afternoon of beautiful music for wind band. Concerts are FREE and open to the public. Parking costs $5 per vehicle.
