This year, Chanticleer in Sonoma is thrilled to announce a pre-professional fellowship program for up to four singers. The fellowship will include:
- Tuition, accommodation, and $500 of travel expenses
- Extra solo and small ensemble opportunities
- The chance to sing as part of Chanticleer during a rehearsal
To be considered for the Chanticleer Consort Singers Program, applicants must additionally submit the following:

Cover letter in which you tell us a little about yourself and discuss why singing in a small ensemble is intriguing to you.

A recording of you singing one part from the “Agnus Dei” of Byrd’s Mass for four voices. You can use this score. Choose whichever part you think most suits your voice. Choose whatever pronunciation style works for you. Start where the marks appear on the score and sing to the end of the excerpt. This excerpt must be unaccompanied.
You will be asked to provide a link to your recording (Google Drive, YouTube, Vimeo, etc) and upload your cover letter on the Application.
