Sonoma State Day of Strings 2023

Two violinists

Please join Dr. Alexander Kahn, Director of Orchestral Activities at Sonoma State University, for the fifth annual Day of Strings at Sonoma State University.

This free event will take place Sunday, November 5, 2023, at the beautiful Green Music Center at Sonoma State University.

Participants will have the chance to hear performances by our amazing string faculty, read great string ensemble literature, participate in and observe masterclasses on standard college admission repertoire, learn about the college admissions process from the perspective of current music majors, and gain insights into how to effectively prepare for and take a college admissions audition.

This event takes place concurrently with Sonoma State's first-ever Saxophone Day
