As a vocalist, Beth Ann Turner has performed music theatre and opera roles, and performed in concert and recital in California, New York, England, and Germany. Her career in music theatre has spanned the roles of performer, stage director, music director, stage manager, and orchestrator for educational and professional music theatre productions in California and New York. As an educator, she has taught and led innovative programs with Sebastopol public schools, West Sonoma County Union High Schools, Sonoma State University, and the Healdsburg Community Band. As a consultant, she has provided analysis, strategy, and vision on research projects for Stanford University, University of San Francisco, and Teach for America. Her scholarly projects focus on affect and motivation in education and music. She holds an Ed.D. in Learning and Instruction from University of San Francisco, M.M. in vocal performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and B.A. in music from Sonoma State University.
