Weill Hall

Joan and Sanford I. Weill Hall is a spectacular concert hall designed by architect William Rawn, theater consultant Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, and acoustician Lawrence Kirkegaard. Modeled after

Weill Hall SWE

Tanglewood’s Seiji Ozawa Hall, the hall was designed to replicate the intimacy and acoustics of Vienna’s Musikverein. Weill Hall has 1,400 handcrafted seats made of steamed European beech wood that are designed for acoustic-neutrality whether the seat is occupied or empty. Its three levels boast spectacular views of the Sonoma Mountains, and the back wall can be fully opened onto the beautifully landscaped and terraced Weill Lawn.
