Advising

SSU Music Faculty are dedicated to your success, and are committed to assisting students toward graduation in a timely manner. First-time freshmen typically complete the program of study in four years. Transfer students are typically able to complete the
program of study in two years.

You will be assigned a Faculty Advisor who is a specialist in your degree program. Your Faculty Advisor will assist you with the appropriate selection of courses each semester.

Your assigned Faculty Advisor will contact you to set up an advising appointment, typically one week prior to the fall and spring registration dates. However, it is up to you to be proactive, and to follow the recommendations of your Faculty Advisor. Students are ultimately responsible for knowing and meeting all graduation requirements.
