The Sonoma State University School of Performing Arts, in conjunction with Creative Sonoma presents Creative Arts College and Career Event, Saturday, February 1, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm in Schroeder Hall.

This event is geared toward high school and community college students (considering continued education and/or a career (especially in education) in the arts. Parents and families are welcome.

Participants will learn about the "Creative Economy,” as well as new, ongoing funding for more arts programs in public schools throughout California. More than 5,400 new arts and music educators will be needed across the state.

Learn about pathways through the California State University and community college system to get you on an arts career pathway, as well as how to pay for it. Chat with SSU and SRJC students and faculty. Students are welcome to bring parents as well. Counselors are also welcome!
