Community Concert Band

Under the direction of Dr. Andy Collinsworth, the SSU Community Concert Band embraces music-making as a lifelong activity and provides its members of all ability levels with opportunities for continued musical growth through the careful selection of repertoire. The Concert Band is open to university students and members of the community, regardless of major and ability level. The ensemble typically presents two performances per semester in Weill Hall. There are no auditions for membership.

MUS 227 Concert Band, 1 unit of credit

Meeting Dates

Tuesdays, 7–9:15 p.m. in the Band Rehearsal Hall (GMC 1028)

Participation

Membership is open to all students regardless of major, and members of the community. No audition is required. Students may sign up and show up.

Instruments

A limited number of university-owned instruments are available to students free of charge. To request an instrument, please contact the Music Librarian.
