2022 Choral and Voice Festival

Weill Hall and Schroeder Hall at the Green Music Center

October 27-28, 2022

Combined Concert Choir Program

Sonoma State Sings! (formerly known as the Sonoma State University Choral Festival) is a two-day event for high school and junior college choirs. Sonoma State Sings! offers your students the opportunity to perform in Weill Hall, one of the nation’s premier concert venues. Performing ensembles receive audio feedback of their performance from the adjudicators, a clinic following the performance, and a clean video recording of the performance (free of comments).

Festival Format

In the morning, each choir will be assigned a 30-minute time slot that includes set up, performance of three pieces, and a clinic by our guest adjudicator. The day will conclude with an afternoon concert (free and open to the public) where each ensemble will perform their festival set and a combined choral piece. The day also will include a solo masterclass led by members of the SSU voice faculty.

The festival is a non-competitive, non-rated festival, with emphasis on musical artistry and education.
