Concert Program
Experience the vibrant opening of our season with “French Impressions” on Friday, September 25! Our concert features four works premiered in Paris during the early part of the twentieth century. We will open with the dazzling Premiere Rapsodie for Clarinet and Orchestra with soloist and concerto competition winner Diego Borges. Next we'll feature two student conductors, Alex Roig and Mitchell Thompson, who will lead the orchestra in a performance of selections from Fauré's enchanting Dolly Suite. After the intermission we'll be joined by another concerto competition winner, Jose Palacios, featured in Bozza's Ballade for Trombone and Orchestra. Concluding the evening will be Stravinsky's 1919 Suite from the ballet Firebird.
