On September 1st, San Francisco Symphony’s principal trumpet Mark Inouye (pictured center), gave a masterclass to students in SSU’s Instrumental Repertoire class.

Brian Wilson, Music Theory Program Director and Jewish Studies Program Director, was a featured composer at the 53rd International Horn Society symposium. French Horn player Daniel Nebel performed Wilson's 'The Water Garden' for solo horn at a live-stream session.

Jack Harlow Adkins, while pursuing his master's in voice at Indiana University, was given the great opportunity to sing abroad, in Germany, in a few professional opera performances.

On August 20–29, current SSU student, Andrew Cedeño, along with SSU alumni, Christa Durand, Margaret Starr, Rodrigo Castillo, and Erica Dori, will be performing in Music to My Ears' virtual production of, The Old Maid and the Thief: A Radio Opera.

Former Music Education student, Cody Martin, recently received the CMEA Bay Section Outstanding Classroom/General Music Educator Award.

Although the students of this semester's Rock Collegium weren't able to hold a live concert, they were still able to rock out and create these awesome tracks.
