The Bachelor of Music, Music Education Concentration is recommended for anyone planning a career as a music educator. SSU offers three specialized tracks in music education in choral, instrumental, and instrumental jazz. SSU’s Music Education program is an Approved Subject Matter Program through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Upon completion of this program, graduating students apply for the Single Subject Credential Program through the College of Education.
